The Swiss Colony Selects VendorNet to Automate Communications with Suppliers Eliminating The Need For Multi-Year, In-house Development Project

Delray Beach, FL., November 1, 2004 – VendorNet, a supply chain collaboration solutions provider, today announced that The Swiss Colony, a 78-year old specialty foods and hard goods catalog and internet retailer is integrating VendorNet Commerce Suite with its in-house order management and purchasing systems.

The Swiss Colony has licensed VendorNet to automate its purchase order communication, processing, fulfillment, shipping, and invoicing for The Swiss Colony, Seventh Avenue, Midnight Velvet, Ginny's, The Tender Filet, Through the Country Door, Monroe & Main, and GrandPointe. VendorNet's integrated technology will augment The Swiss Colony's existing IT system resources. The software will also generate immediate cost savings by eliminating the manual processes currently used to communicate with and manage its extensive network of suppliers.

Marty Allen, Manager of Outside Fulfillment at The Swiss Colony explained, "We were at a growth point where changing how we process and manage our purchase order communication was essential, and we had specific goals we needed to achieve. It was critical that we implement an automated system that would streamline operations across multiple departments. VendorNet's technology and ease of mapping enabled The Swiss Colony to be in a position to go-live with VendorNet with selected vendors in early September - a mere two and one half months after the signing of the contract. Additionally, a test group of suppliers will go live with VendorNet's Stock PO Manager in November, with a measured roll out to begin after the first of the year. When complete, The Swiss Colony will be automating supply chain processes with over 1,000 vendors.
